Challenge
Automation juggernaut, Zapier, had launched their new enterprise-ready automation platform that’s more powerful and scalable than ever. They came to us with the goal of moving their new platform upmarket to an audience inundated with solutions and skeptical of Zapier’s power beyond SMB point solution needs. To win them over, we had to show them Zapier was purpose-built to solve big enterprise challenges, because they truly understand them.
Approach
Nothing cuts to the chase faster than visual metaphor, so we used it to turn common enterprise pain points into comedic characters that spoke directly to challenges enterprise leaders face. A leaky sales funnel showed up as a disheveled employee in a sopping wet button-up. Another employee struggled under a collar made of bottles—a literal IT bottleneck. Bad data hygiene appeared as a stinking, moldy laptop, held gingerly by a visibly grossed-out employee. The spot takes place in an after hours location where our characters patiently wait in line for their turn to speak with the Enterprise Psychic—a fabled being who always has the right enterprise answers. Though she’s quite magical, it’s not magic these employees need. Instead, she prescribes Zapier, for real solutions to real enterprise challenges.
Results
In less than two weeks, the campaign exceeded performance expectations:
46M impressions at $4.32 CPM (compared to $6.12 CPM in Q1 2024), driving CPM down by 31%
