Challenge

Automation leaders, Zapier, had added a suite of AI tools to their platform and wanted to spread the word. The problem, however, was every company out there was touting their own AI chops, most of which had over-promised and under-delivered. A general fatigue around AI grew. Zapier needed a fresh way to approach the topic that would actually educate on the business impact of their new AI tools without people rolling their eyes at the subject-matter. We were tasked with bringing AI back down to earth, cutting through the AI hype, and showcasing how Zapier’s new AI tools could have transformational impact on businesses.

Approach

We created “ZAP, AI in a Can”. It’s the first-of-its-kind digital energy drink for computers. All you gotta do is crack a can and pour all over your machine to activate the power of AI. Each of Zapier’s unique AI tools became their own flavor, complete with their own retro-inspired infomercial that gave us permission to talk about AI through the lens of nostalgic consumerism. We playfully, but plainly touted Zapiers AI capabilities for business, providing to decision makers tangible uses with tangible outcomes. Oh, and the product? It’s real. We made actual energy drinks (but don’t pour them on your computer).
